Back in September of 2022, BlowUp Radio announced their 15th Songwriter’s Challenge to write and record a song in 2 weeks inspired from an audio prompt. The prompt was audio released by NASA of a Black Hole. Check out these eerie sounds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioR5np1fmEc

“Lift” was my submission for the challenge. This might be the first instrumental track that I’ve written. It gave me a chance to experiment with samples, midi, and some effects that I am reluctant to use.

The video was made with old public domain footage from the 50’s and 60’s. Lazlo from BlowUp Radio said that the song made him think of a spacewalk. So he gets the credit for the video idea. I just through the clips together.
